    Eliot Waldfogel

Stockholm-born Eliot Waldfogel works as an actor, stand-up comedian and script writer. We talked to the young maverick about acting and what freedom means to him.

You seem to have many different talents. What title would you give yourself?

Tricky question! Maybe storyteller? Yeah, I’d say storyteller.

What do you think makes a good actor?

The key to good acting is to be believable. I don’t have much educational experience but I get inspired by unusual stuff in life. It’s these tricky, funny, bizarre situations I love reenacting.

What is it about writing that engages you?

I’m always the guy who laughs when he shouldn’t. I like using the medium of film to create something bizarre and at the same time hilarious. It can be about society or how we define ourselves in this weird world.

What does freedom mean to you?

It’s hard for me to not get into politics when I talk about freedom. But I think it is when you are able to go for something you believe in, without letting anyone stopping you. People may judge you and say things on the way, but I think freedom is to not let that matter.
